My Sister Phyllis

My sister Phyllis died on the 21th January 2021 from Covid I am therefore recounting some stories of our life together that should never be forgotten

                                                         Phyllis

Some 30 years ago I contracted septicemia I was taken to hospital as an emergency case.
Whilst recovering sister Phyllis came to see me in hospital. I was so very poorly and as weak as a kitten.
Phyllis insisted that I have a bath! to make me feel better. (She insisted again)
With that she got hold of a wheelchair. I was in so much pain, but she really took her time and gently helped me into the contraption.
She then wheeled me to the bathroom undressed me ran a bath full of warm water lifted me out of the wheelchair and helped me into the bath. She bathed me like her baby child.
The feeling was surreal  as it was like old times of loving each other and total kindness towards each other. Laughing and joking of course
My biggest regret is the fact we had drifted apart over the years and for that moment I felt her love for me effervescently overflowing, bringing back all my childhood memories of our total love for each other.
We were both inseparable growing up.
